Like many of you, consultant, business leadership expert, entrepreneur, and author Orlando J. Dumas Sr. has seen the word leadership and success defined numerous ways over the years.  Is it a sense of style that defines leadership or success?  Maybe its how decisive you are? Born one of two children in low income New Orleans, Louisiana, Orlando was raised by a single mother name Edith Terry, who had little education and financial means, but who possessed the skill sets an individual could never learn from higher education.  Edith Terry instilled the knowledge and work ethic within her son needed to succeed, which he would carry throughout his entire career.

Orlando has over 25 years of executive, consulting, coaching, motivational speaking, and most importantly, real-life, in-the-trenches business experience.  Orlando believes business and/or management decisions are not generic, whereas “one size fits all”.  Leadership is a moment-to-moment set of choices and not about a title, tenure, or specific position.

Orlando worked for many years as an executive within the for-profit school industry.  He has owned a total of 2 training institutions.  One of which he was the Founder, Owner, and Campus President of Georgia Community Technical Institute.  Orlando also served as the President of the consulting firm National Education Group.  In addition, Orlando founded and lead as the first African-American for a National Accrediting Body called the National Accreditation for Colleges and Schools.

Orlando is the author of the highly praised and promoted book, 9 principles for success.  Orlando is a nationally renowned motivational speaker and life coach.  He also volunteers his speaking and coaching talents with State and Non-Profits Agencies.
